RENDCOMB COLLEGE CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING GCSE RESULTS

The Staff and Governors of Rendcomb College are absolutely delighted to celebrate a tremendous set of GCSE results for our Y11 pupils this year. The outcomes are the strongest since the exceptional, adjusted results of the pandemic years, and rank among the best in the College’s history.

Overall, 44% of grades were awarded at 9–7. There were some particularly impressive subject performances, including Drama, where 100% of grades were at 9–7 and History with 90% at 9–7. In Business BTEC, half of all pupils achieved the highest possible grade of Distinction*.

These achievements feel particularly significant in a year in which pupils, families and staff have had to come to terms with the announced closure of Rendcomb College. Throughout an exceptionally difficult period, this year group has shown remarkable resilience and has continued to approach school life with warmth, humour and determination. They have been a close and happy cohort, and while they will now move on to different schools and different paths, many of the friendships formed here will undoubtedly last for years to come.

We are immensely proud of every one of them and wish them every happiness and success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
