Life at Rendcomb College encourages young people to embrace as many experiences as possible through our holistic approach. We encourage Rendcombians to think independently, to challenge and to engage. We provide breadth in our co-curricular provision, enabling pupils to identify their strengths and aptitudes. Pupils acquire new friendships, gain confidence and new skills as they mix with students outside of their peer and tutor groups.

With our ethos of preparing pupils with skills for life, and readying them to face their next adventure, our activities programme is designed to expose pupils to a wide variety of challenges and new interests so that they leave Rendcomb with a varied portfolio of pursuits and experiences. Rendcomb also provides a pastoral framework that creates physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, preparing pupils for life beyond College, fostering confidence, self-reliance and honesty.

Rendcomb College’s approach to learning

Academic life at Rendcomb is part of the adventure of growing up and exploring, questioning and discovering new ideas.

Our broad and varied study programme enables an all-round education providing a seamless transition from Nursery and Junior School through to Senior School and GCSEs and A Levels.

We stretch pupils academically across the board whilst offering a strong level of individual support through our tutorial and academic structures. Combined with our co-curricular and pastoral care, pupils are prepared for the adventure of life beyond school.

We educate approximately 400 boys and girls across our Nursery, Junior and Senior Schools. Boarding starts in Year 7 (age 11) and both Boarders and Day pupils share the same Houses enabling strong friendships and camaraderie to flourish throughout the College.

There are 100 co-curricular activities that take place each term.

We provide a home from home for boys and girls who are looking at potential boarding schools in England. What sets us apart from others is that we provide a magnificent natural environment with woodlands, sports fields, deer parks and ancient orchards on our doorstep, whilst encouraging independence and tolerance in a safe and caring space.

Food And Dining

Our dedicated on-site catering is delivered by Thomas Franks, whose motto is: "Fresher food, fresher thinking." The Head Chef, along with his team, caters for all dietary requirements. The main dining hall at Rendcomb benefits from splendid views across the Churn Valley offering an ideal setting for meals.

Co-Curricular

We offer an extensive range of activities throughout the Senior Boarding school which changes each term. Pupils acquire new friendships, gain confidence and new skills as they mix with students outside of their peer and tutor groups.

Sport

Sport at Rendcomb College offers a breadth of opportunity, enabling pupils to experience participation, competition and performance at a level appropriate to their stage of development. Participation in sport at both competitive and social levels are essential to a young person’s development.
