"It was fantastic to see students engaging so deeply with their surroundings."

At the end of the last half term, our A-level Art and Photography students embarked on an unforgettable four-day trip to Paris, immersing themselves in the rich culture and history of one of the world’s most iconic cities.

The visit offered a journey through the history of art, with stops at the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and the Pompidou Centre, where students experienced masterpieces spanning from classical to contemporary art. Beyond the galleries, they explored the city’s streets, churches, and markets—drawing, photographing, and recording their surroundings.

A river cruise along the Seine and a visit to the Eiffel Tower added to the experience. By the end of the trip, students had produced hundreds of photographs and pages of drawings, filling their sketchbooks with ideas and observations that will inspire their coursework projects.

"It was fantastic to see students engaging so deeply with their surroundings. They returned full of ideas and inspiration—experiences like this are invaluable to their creative development."

A huge thank you to all the staff and students who made this trip such a brilliant success.
