Pastoral Care at Rendcomb College Sixth Form

Sixth Form is a critical time in a child's development, with that all important transition approaching where they will leave compulsory education and head out into the world. This can bring about a number challenges for young people, especially at a time where they are studying for their A-Levels, which will be a large factor in determining the next step in their lives.

The pastoral care for Sixth Formers therefore is of crucial importance at Rendcomb College.

Sixth Formers have access to our Head of Sixth Form and Sixth Form Supervisor on a daily basis where they can ask questions, get help, or just generally have a chat about topics that they would like to explore. They also have an academic tutor which they see every morning to assist them in any areas of their studies where they would like help.

Pupils have access to a school councillor, as well as a school listener. Some of our Sixth Form pupils have qualified as mental health first aiders who can be their as a first step in getting assistance. Our school chaplain is also available as a sympathetic ear for pupils.

Help is always at hand, and the school prides itself on the delivery of pastoral care from the Junior School right up to Sixth Form.

We strongly believe that happy pupils with the best support get the best outcomes.
