The Application Process

Our aim is to make the transition to a new school as smooth as possible and we have an enhanced admissions journey to enable a successful move to Rendcomb College.

We have multiple entry points for children applying to join us and we welcome applications throughout the year. Early application is encouraged to avoid disappointment, however, we do recognise that family circumstances and commitments do not always fit into the school year so we are able to tailor the admissions process to accommodate your requirements.

Assessment

We have multiple entry points for children applying to join Rendcomb College.

Year 7, Year 9, and Year 12 have set assessment dates, but we also consider applications for Year 8, Year 10 and Year 11. All Senior School entrants, apart from Year 12, will be required to carry out entrance assessments, which are online tests and either an English or a maths test.

For pupils applying for scholarships, please click on the Scholarship & Bursaries link at the top of this page.

The Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) test is an examination which delivers crucial information about your child’s abilities. The test is taken online at Rendcomb College and lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes. The CEM test assesses Maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. No preparation is required, however a familiarisation website is available here:
