The Application Process
Our aim is to make the transition to a new school as smooth as possible and we have an enhanced admissions journey to enable a successful move to Rendcomb College.
We have multiple entry points for children applying to join us and we welcome applications throughout the year. Early application is encouraged to avoid disappointment, however, we do recognise that family circumstances and commitments do not always fit into the school year so we are able to tailor the admissions process to accommodate your requirements.

Personal visits and open days
We encourage all families to visit Rendcomb College and acknowledge that seeing the school first-hand is instrumental in the decision making process. Our open days throughout the year also give the opportunity to view Rendcomb College in action and to experience all that we have to offer.
Registration
Registration adds your child onto our entry lists and can take place at any time throughout the year. In order to register your child, the Registration form should be completed and returned to the Admissions Office together with the non-refundable Registration Fee of £100.
Please note that registration does not necessarily guarantee a place.
Assessment
We have multiple entry points for children applying to join Rendcomb College.
Year 7, Year 9, and Year 12 have set assessment dates, but we also consider applications for Year 8, Year 10 and Year 11. All Senior School entrants, apart from Year 12, will be required to carry out entrance assessments, which are online tests and either an English or a maths test.
For pupils applying for scholarships, please click on the Scholarship & Bursaries link at the top of this page.
The Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) test is an examination which delivers crucial information about your child’s abilities. The test is taken online at Rendcomb College and lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes. The CEM test assesses Maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. No preparation is required, however a familiarisation website is available here:
Offer
Successful applicants will be sent an offer letter from either the Head of College or Head of Juniors. This includes both conditional and unconditional offers. The letter will outline the details of Rendcomb College's offer and how to accept your place. Should you have any queries in regards to your offer, please contact the admissions office.
Email: | admissions@rendcombcollege.org.uk |
Telephone: | 01285 832306 |
Acceptance
For successful applicants the Acceptance Form is sent alongside an offer of a place for your child (both conditional and unconditional) from the Head of College or Head of Juniors. The Acceptance Form is signed by both parents and returned to the Admissions Office with the Acceptance Fee. The form will be provided with a copy of our Parental Contract containing our terms and conditions.
Once a place has been accepted and a start date confirmed, the Admissions Team will provide your family with joining instructions containing information about our uniform, along with other key information and essential forms.
