Our Junior School Facilities
Within our beautiful 230 acres of Cotswold countryside, we are proud to offer an unparalleled landscape, harbouring state of the art facilities for the Junior School pupils to access on a day to day basis.
Teaching
Teaching facilities within the Junior School are consistently bright and spacious with beautiful views of the Cotswold Countryside for pupils to enjoy from their classrooms.
The Nursery is designed to be spacious and colourful, designed to stimulate learning through play and a quiet rest area. The Nursery also has access to their own courtyard garden with a number of fun activities for your child to enjoy.
The recently refurbished Reception classroom provides the ideal setting to introduce your child to school life, fully equipped with the necessary items to encourage their learning and development in a vibrant and well supported environment.
The Junior School has also recently received newly refurbished Science facilities, including a newly designed laboratory, along with a number of well stocked classrooms to aid your child's education.
In addition to educational facilities the Junior school also has use of an adventure playground for use at break times.
Rendcomb College Junior school has strong links to the Senior section of the college and as such benefits from access to a number of specialist facilities. The Junior school regularly accesses advance teaching equipment and materials to aid their learning in the latter years. When using these facilities your child will be guided by specialist teachers and given appropriate support throughout.
Sports
The Junior School benefits from Rendcomb Colleges fantastic sports facilities designed for regular training and fixtures across a number of sports.
Facilities include:
- 10 acre sports ground with Pavilion
- All weather AstroTurf pitch
- Tennis courts
- Sports hall
- Cricket nets
- Outdoor swimming Pool (for use in summer term)
- On sight Clay Pigeon Shooting with full time APSI qualified instructors who coach children from age 9 (Year 5).
- Golf Course
Drama, Dance And Music
Pupils have access to a number of on-site facilities including the Dulverton Hall for Drama and Dance lessons and the Reading Room for Music.
In 2017, we opened the Griffin Theatre. A £3.3m state of the art performing arts centre at the centre of the College giving unrivalled performance facilities for our pupils.
The Griffin Theatres facilities include:
- 350-seat auditorium with orchestra pit
- Dance studio with sprung floor and mirrored walls
- Hospitality area with stunning views
- Box office and reception
- Backstage dressing rooms and green room area
- Costume and prop store
