"The exhibition was a wonderful celebration of our students' hard work, creativity, and willingness to take risks..."
Rendcomb College proudly showcased the outstanding creativity of its Art and Photography students at the New Brewery Arts Centre in Cirencester on Friday, 16th January. The exhibition brought together work from across the school, celebrating the talent and dedication of Year 10 to Year 13 students, along with A-level pieces from last year’s graduates.
The week-long exhibition was a fantastic success, with families, staff, and members of the wider community gathering for a private opening to view the impressive range of work. The exhibition featured everything from experimental prints and abstract paintings to embroidered textiles and expressive photography, offering an insight into the creative journeys of our students.
A highlight of the opening evening was a talk by our new Art teacher, Mr. Lovering, a celebrated painter who shared insights into his artistic practice.
Making its debut at the exhibition was the Scholars’ Painting, a collaborative piece created by Art scholars from Year 7 to Year 13, including contributions from alumni now studying at university. The painting has now been installed outside the Headmaster’s office, symbolising the strength of artistic talent across the school.
"The exhibition was a wonderful celebration of our students' hard work, creativity, and willingness to take risks," said Mr Buckley, Head of Art. "We are incredibly proud of the range and ambition that was on display."
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this memorable event.
